Life is not about taking but giving

img_4694 My second job is the privilege to drive people around. I will say this has been one of the most rewarding and learning curve for me as I have met millionaires and sometimes in between or just a regular guy or girl trying to get through the morning commute. Through all this my life is continuously impacted by every one of them and actually it’s opening my eyes to how important it is to be kind—giving instead of receiving. And I am not talking about that kindness that people say “be kind,” but that one that you realize each person’s experience is not too distant from yours. That way you feel what they feel and you can fully relate to their situation. I have written a full blog about it today below. I guarantee you it will make your day. Happy Thanksgiving anyway and if you get to read it all, I hope you are bless by it.

I picked up two girls. One was in a state of complete distress while the other consoled her. They were to be dropped at two separate locations but the one in agony started making claim of hurting herself, so her friend decided to go to one destination. I decided to offer my two senses to no avail. Looking back at what I said that night I thought I was being the smart guy in the car but actually I was just speaking out of my mouth. The gravity of the distress girl’s  situation was only felt later after.

I also met a family. A 14yrs old boy, his grandmother and his young beautiful mother who was disable in both legs. Their car had broken down on the high way too! I did not see the mother at first only the son, fixing a wheelchair, which I offered to help and by the time I was done putting the wheelchair in the trunk I saw the son bringing the mother in his arms and put her in the front seat. On our way I put on Jesus Culture Album Let It Echo  , which was what I was listening to already on my own. The mother at first felt like she should make her present known by kinda instructing me a bit sternly where to go. Now I assume she was doing so because of her disability. Had it been a normal situation where she was not disabled she knew she was a fully capable woman. But I did not see it like that and again I may be assuming but either way she was beautiful in all regard and I personally was already humble by her beauty. But it was just another ride to me. As the music came on her demeanor changed. She realized she was in a judgements free zone and actually she was in a kinda shock that a young man like me would listen to music like that. By the time we got to the destination I felt like her confidence was boosted and they all thanked me so many times but I knew it was an unusual situation. I usually put on “regular music” but this time I was brave and God had worked through me.

And lastly, a young 22yrs Egyptian dentist who was on his way to Florida to engage his girlfriend. He was very nervous and wanted to postpone the engagement because his heart was beating uncontrollably😄we got into this conversation because he had a very unusual and hard name that I could not pronounce. Through that I encouraged him and told him my pen name ( McNonwuun, which derived from two last names and was hard to pronounce too). So he began to tell me his ordeals. At this time also, I had began to like a girl whom I have not really been able to tell her how I felt about her. Every time I see her there’s so much going on inside of me I’m either distracted or busy in my head with the projects I’m working on or just plainly stress 😩 She’s a very intelligent girl and I would be honored to have her in my life.

Anyway, I have been here before where I never express myself until it was too late and it was a painful ordeal. So this thought about my dear lovely friend is haunting me as I drive this young 22yrs old dentist who looks like he’s having the same problem as me and to increase this tension he wanted to engage her at the airport but  he was afraid he would be devastated and humiliated if she say no. But me, with my emotions all over the place, trying to figure out what my own problem, the young dentist looked like he could use some encouragement. We dived into why he should and why he should not. Strangely, I had a lot of good suggestions why he should especially as he planned to do it at the airport. But he had expressed being humiliated if she says no but I told him it was a risk worth taking because the memory is what will last. It was a one time thing and he doesn’t want to do it in some kinda small way a realize it was worth doing it to a place like the airport. It would be something to tell your children about I say, and that memory my friend, is worth looking in her eyes every time and knowing that you were brave to put everything on the line for love. base on OUR conversation, I can tell it will be successful because they were in love. The Young dentist on the other hand, was just too nervous as I think most guys would be (including me). When the dentist left my car I felt like he was ready to say I do forever. I’m telling you these story base on the word photo on my Instagram page. There’s are countless more but at the end of the day I’m learning that giving frees us so much more than taking. If the world begin to practice that, then the future is brighter, happy thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃everyone.

Slowly Erasing The Middle Class

Hello WordPress, it’s been a while. This post is personal to me because I experience it first hand as well as seen it effect on many around me. Today I woke up to an article from the Guardian News about The human toll of America’s public defender crisis. There was just something in me that needed to come out. So, here it is.

Usually stuffs like I just read and let it go. But for the last few months I’ve tasted the bitter end of the system where I felt very vulnerable because of just what this article presents. So I guess my opinion will be, making America great again must certainly begin by protecting the weak, the poor and the vulnerable especially from the banks hiding behind some insidious laws to wipe away the poor man’s account through what is claimed as legal fees. Earnestly after this experience I don’t even see the need to put money in the bank. It use to be a safe place but I am not sure after my experience (of course there may be an exception but the bigger banks are worst). I’ve heard so many sad stories lately too, including mine that have to say this. I met a foreign student who’s currency is three times less than the US dollar. His story was so chocking that I wonder how this can ever be a law and whoever wrote this bill, were they thinking of us when they did? I don’t think anyone is against legal fees but we have to look deeper into what’s legal and what just plainly as set up to make the poor man poorer and the rich man richer. And about the justice system it need a very serious overhaul to reintegrate the same people it was designed to protect. We are all the same people, especially in the eyes of God and at least to those who understand the importance of justice and independence as a vital ingredient for the growth of a nation. It’s is really justice denied for those who need it the most. And frankly, this is sad for those trying to built a business. The hole to climb out of is becoming too steep and justice is becoming favorable to those who have the money and power. God bless America and the world! We need it.

Your Next President?

IMG_3302Hello y’all, I met this guy today at Walmart and he’s running for president of The United States! He needed 1000 signatures to run as a #‎Democrat, and mine was one of them. The interesting thing is he looked like he was speaking to the other side of me or some of us that still undecided. For me I still see the loophole where #‎berniesanders looks old, but he got some good momentums tho lol and actually I’m starting to like him. #‎hillaryclinton, who on the other hand, the promising child of the Democrats went and blundered along the way and now some doubts creep in for some democrats to wave the white flag…well at least that was mine thinking to say the least lol. Yeah, but then this guy here in this picture! Fresh, clean, handsome, who is he? Is he seeing what I was thinking? What do you do with such a man—a stranger!? Assuming you’ve read this to this point. We don’t know him but could he be that candidate that fills in the loophole I’ve been thinking about? Could he then convince me that he can be my president? I actually had this conversation with him too and he laughed. I even recorded it through the stupid #‎snapchatApp but I did not know that it had drained all my battery and my damned phone died lol(:. You know how that is…anyway, to this guy, god bless him! It’s a long stretch for him tho to convince some of us still searching for who is fitting to really lead us now? But he ask for my signature and I give it oh. Personally, I like him. He was actually really cool and he appeared smart and social. I think he said he holds some office here in my state. So hum, let’s look out for him he said he was going to be at the caucus in April

👆

I am not going to give his name let him announce himself in April since his is that brave to want to be my leader. I am not easily pleased lol. But aren’t we all chasing the America Dream just on diferent levels?

Excerpts From My Heart: speaking to my muse. Only.

Dear Muse, I sense your frustration. I have written nothing lately…not even the blunt and daring. But I fantasize…it’s my world. I dare not change it…only for you however, because you bring me smile. That I can live with. And I dare not change it❗️so let me stand on your pillars of unmovable strength that I may fearlessly speak even into the darkest time that love alone is the answer. We dare not change that. Because in it, we are capable of some more, worthy of so much more, built for some much more even if the odds against us fiercely waves it’s finger of rejection attempting lock us up in the mire of our past defeats. But if we are willing to change the taste of our egos from the self to all, there’s courage in that beyond the bound of our common human strength. So come with me. Take my hand let’s find peace together into this world so full of the selves; the egos, the wicked all that make of materials for fire. Oh dear muse, we are not done yet! We are just beginning to shine the light on the potential of the purity that is capable of residing within. We can built skyscrapers with our pen, change a riotous heart from war to peace. We can feed a generation with ideas of the greater selves (the selves United for a a greater good, realizing we are not to abandon our mother’s God and our father’s faith. Even more so we are mighty giants trapped to be released at the appropriate time). Look at you now. So restless, why mutter in frustration? Why complain of procrastination? Haven’t you heard, the journey was not for the swift or the weak, but for even he, whom the good lord has appointed through his timing and grace. Shall I speak even more or have you have seen the light? Look around you. The world is a beautiful place. Desist from your greed. Abandon your ego and live. Will you see the light? Please do. I rest my case.

Speaking from Within

My brother, I guess knows me a lot more than I thought. One thing he made clear was I don’t like too many people. He is right. Most people are fake and deceitful and I wear my heart on my sleeves. That’s an unhealthy mix. But if I call you a friend better believe I mean it. And lastly, one thing most intriguing about my brother is he does not believe in any form of organized religion. He said it just don’t all add up for him. But for me religion is not just about God or Jesus. It is also living a life indistinguishable in the light or darkness. That way I sleep peacefully and less energy is dispensed hence the reason why I rarely mix with many people. They are not brave enough to confront themselves, challenge themselves, improve themselves but most importantly make it their daily task to ask (God or the universe, whichever works), the most fundamental question about their existence, purpose or destiny. That bothers me. And…well my heart is on my sleeves. That’s the big picture. But I’m far from perfection and certainly not making any claim on that. But my daily task is try to treat others as I want to be treated so I begin by telling the truth. I think it’s a healthy start to asking myself the necessary question to becoming a better human being.
